U.S. Embassy Deputy Chief of Mission, Rafik Mansour, recently spoke with teens taking part in an Embassy-sponsored Access English class in Aragatsavan. During his visit with COAF kids, he spoke to them about the importance of English for future career development and answered their questions.
The Access program provides two years of English language study through intensive, after-school and weekend classes. It is designed to boost the English language skills of bright students in rural Armenia. Through the lessons, participants increase their ability access the global marketplace.
Mansour encouraged students to apply for various exchange programs offered by the US Embassy, and highlighted the importance of getting a well-rounded English language immersion. A main focus of his talk included the importance of hard work towards achieving one’s goals.
